»» HYPATIA LAKE LET THEIR ANGELS AND DEMONS LOOSE...
Please welcome our newest addition to the family, Hypatia Lake. You may be familiar with these Seattle based lads from their wonderful contributions to our Reverb compilations over the past few years. Reverb is very excited about releasing the band's unbelieveable third album "Angels and Demons, Space and Time." Their new release will hit the world in July and it catches the band at their most intimate and most experimental moments. Recorded/Engineered by Scott Colburn (Arcade Fire, Animal Collective, Sun City Girls), the album has that unique sonic quality and raw energy that comes from a band playing together in a live setting. 100% amazing! Stay tuned here for more... |
»»THE HIGH VIOLETS IN STUDIO // SATELLITE REMIXES TAKES OFF
The High Violets just returned from their successful performance at the Noise Pop festival in San Francisco. They played alongside bands like The Walkmen, Stellastar*, Quasi, A Place To Bury Strangers, among others. The band are now back in the studio recording tracks for their next album with Producer Tony Lash (Elliott Smith, Dandy Warhols). In the meantime, their recent release 'Satellite Remixes' continues to win friends and influence people. The release features songs from both "To Where You Are" and their debut album "44 Down," each of which was given the special remix treatment by Carmen Rizzo (LA), Ulrich Schnauss (UK), BASIC, (Belfast) and Antahkarana Music (Mexico City) among others. Check out Pitchfork's Forkcast to hear/download an MP3 of Ulrich Schnauss' remix of the song "Chinese Letter." "Satellite Remixes" is available now through our Reverb webstore and all good record stores and download sites. |
»» NEW HOMESTEAD FOR THE UPSIDEDOWN
The Upsidedown have finally finished their new album and are just waiting for that magic release date. The band are set to release their yet to be titled album on a new record label started by The Dandy Warhols called Beat The World Records. Reverb are a little sad to be sending them onwards into the big bad world on their own, but we’re assured that they’ll be in very good hands with the new album. We’re standing by for take off and we look forward to watching them take off into outer-space, right where they belong. The new album sounds absolutely amazing too. Honestly, the best album Reverb never released! |
»» BRAND NEW E.P. FROM LAB PARTNERS
The new E.P from Dayton Ohio’s Lab Partners entitled “Keep Quiet” is out NOW. Three of the five songs are taken from their forthcoming album due out later this Fall. If this EP is anything to go by, Lab Partners new album is going to be something pretty special. Their previous album “Wicked Branches” garnered some amazing press with Under the Radar, Skyscraper, Venus, Tablet, Transworld Surf, The Big Takeover and others giving the release an overwhelming thumbs up. The band have been touring hard over the past year sharing stages with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Kinski, Mark Gardner (ex Ride), Black Angels and The Warlocks among many others. The band were also big hit at this year’s SXSW Music Conference in Austin, playing on the same stage as Dead Meadow, The High Dials and The Black Angels side project Viet Minh.
